Shao  Ming, recently  graduated  from Yong  Siew  Toh  Conservatory of  Music  (NUS)  in  2019  with a Bachelor with Honours. He studied with Mr. Jinta, Mr. Evgueni Brokmiller and Dr. Cheryl Lim.

In 2012, he  obtained a Diploma  in  Music  from  Lasalle  College  of the  Arts,  under  the  tutelage  of  Mr.  Roberto  Alvarez  and Ms. Wang  Tong.

During  his  studies, he has also participated  in  masterclasses  by distinguished  flutist  such  as  Robert  Aitken (Canada), Paul  Edmund Davies  (UK), Vincent  Lucas  (Orchestre  de  Paris)  and  Jasmine  Choi (South  Korea).

In  2015,  he  attained  a  Fellowship  from  the  Trinity  College  of  London.

​

Shao  Ming  has  also  won  the  3rd  Prize  in  the  7th  Flute  Competition Singapore, in the year  2016  and  1st  Prize  in the Chamber  category.

​

He  is  currently  holding  the  position  of  Associate  Principal Flute at the Singapore  Armed  Forces  Central  Band.
