Sebastian Koh’s first musical instrument was the Euphonium, which he first played as a student in St. Patrick's School and was later introduced to the trombone by Brando Tan. 

 

During his National Service, Sebastian was a musician with the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band whom he travelled with to India and Malaysia to participate in military tattoos.

 

Following his stint with the SAF Central Band, he returned to the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the NAFA-University of Wales programme. While there, he again studied trombone with Fredi Sonderegger and conducting with Volker Hartung. 

 

Currently, Sebastian performs with Lion City Brass Band, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, The Philharmonic Winds and an Oktoberfest band, The Swiss Alpine Lions.
