CHANG MINDY

French Horn

It has been about 10 years since Mindy picked up the horn in her secondary school band. Since then, she has obtained her Diploma in Music Performance from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and recently in 2019, completed her Bachelor's at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.

She has had the great fortune to be learning from Jamie Hersch during her time in Singapore.

​

Music has brought Mindy to experience life across Asia. She is now undergoing her Master's programme at the Shanghai Orchestra Academy and is under the fine guidiance of Peter Solomon.

​

During her time in the college, She became part of the Wind Quintet, Singalaywan, and has since develop a love for chamber music.

​

She spent a semester in Thailand at the Mahidol College of Music and performed in Japan with Thai ensemble Horn Pure. 

​

Mindy is also an active orchestra musician who has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Sun Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra and the Asian Youth Orchestra 2019.

​

Ultimately she hopes to be able to bring joy to people through music as she believes that music makes the world a better place!
